DonatoTomato · For agencies & freelancers

Give nonprofit clients a donation platform we host and maintain.

Add giving to your client's WordPress site while DonatoTomato runs the donation platform, donor records and receipts. Your client receives gifts through their own Stripe account.

Hosted donation tools

The WordPress plugin embeds the form. Payment logic, donor records and receipts run on DonatoTomato.

Payment fields handled by Stripe

Stripe handles payment details inside the embedded giving flow. The plugin adds no donor or payment records to the WordPress database.

The nonprofit keeps its own Stripe account

Your client receives gifts in their own Stripe account and can review payments and payouts there.

Records your client can take with them

Donor and gift records, with each gift's platform fee, Stripe processing fee and net, export to CSV from the dashboard. Stripe's fee for running monthly gifts is not yet in the export.

Donors can manage monthly giving

Donors use a secure email link to update payment details or cancel future gifts, without creating an account.

Setup, per client

Your role: You manage the client's website and install or update the plugin as part of that work. DonatoTomato hosts the giving platform.

  • Client signs up, connects their own Stripe account and creates a campaign
  • Install our plugin from the WordPress Plugin Directory
  • Paste the Organization ID, flip the floating-button switch or drop the Gutenberg block
  • For one-time and new monthly bank gifts (ACH), contact hello@donatotomato.com to confirm the Stripe bank-email setting and enable them
  • Done: campaigns, receipts, donor records, and recurring gifts run hosted

Full walkthrough in the WordPress setup guide; the plugin is on the WordPress Plugin Directory.

What it costs your client

A flat 1% platform fee per donation, with no monthly fee, no setup fee and no long-term commitment from DonatoTomato, and no tip prompts aimed at their donors at checkout. Stripe processing fees are additional, and a monthly gift also carries Stripe's own fee for running the repeating charge, billed to your client's Stripe account. The numbers, with a worked example your client's treasurer can check, are on the fees and reporting brief; the security and data answers are at /security.

There is no partner program to join and no referral fee: we don't pay for recommendations, so when you recommend us it is because the stack is good for your client. That is the whole arrangement.
